Announcing summer break
Decode Estonian workshops will not be happening during June, July, and August
Why it has been so quiet here
You surely have noticed that I’ve been publishing less content in the last couple of weeks.
Due to the changing weather and taking on additional obligations, I just couldn’t keep up with everything anymore.
My apologies for that!
I’ve reduced my obligations and am picking up steam here again!
Building the future
Another reason for fewer pieces of content here is that I have two projects in the works:
creating the ultimate “carry-it-in-your-pocket” reference material,
creating a copy of Sõnaveeb’s database (for running some interesting queries over words, like how many entries fall into a specific group, etc),
Having the database is also a stepping stone for providing more tooling that makes looking words up easier!
Summer break
Given that summer is around the corner, the days are getting longer and everyone is yearning to spend more time outside (me included!), I’ve decided not to conduct any workshops in the months of June, July, and August.
There will still be new content published here, however.
Two more workshops in May
Between now and June there is still the month of May!
There will be two workshops in May:
one on Sunday the 14th of May,
and another one Sunday the 21st of May
What to expect in September
September will bring a few changes in how the workshops are run:
you’ll get a physical reference and summary of the material during the workshop: this is an object you can keep, reminding you of what you’ve learned and helping you apply it in your daily life
updated slides + digital reference material: currently the slides are lacking some important pieces of information that would make them more useful as a reference both during and after the workshop
higher price: after multiple workshops and overwhelmingly positive feedback, reinvesting earnings into better material also means that future workshops will go for at least 99 EURs for a full-day workshop.
